Cllr Dr Kate Usmar flying the flag for support workers

County Councillor Dr Kate Usmar for Tewkesbury East, and Cabinet Member for Adults’ Support and Independence, joined an event at Kingsholm Stadium to celebrate the commitments of support and social workers. She spoke of the importance of recognising the unsung contributions made by the industry to providing residents of the county with easier, more normal lives.

She said: 

“I love being a Lib Dem Councillor. Every day I meet inspiring people who are quietly changing the world. And I get to talk about social care, develop and improve services for elderly and vulnerable people, and work with NHS bosses to give everyone the joined-up services we need. It's a work in progress, but together we can do it!”

She is calling for people to join their efforts by becoming Liberal Democrat councillors, so we can continue to champion the relentless work of these great people.
